The musical universe of John Berge

John Berge is a norwegian songwriter and singer. He started writing songs when he was 16 years old, and considers himself a vocalist who had to learn to play and record his song ideas because he had so many of them. 

He has written around 250 songs, of which 30 have been collaborations with other songwriters, and released one double CD in 2007 – «Clear And Present Past». In October 2024, his first studioalbum will finally be released: Keep Moving Forward. The next one, «Illusions of Grandeur, Delusions of Love, is ready for a 2025-release. In 2026 his third album will be released, called «Big Things Have Small Beginnings», with tracks written in the period 2023-2026. 

As of 2024 John is busy working on two more (!) studioalbums, one new side project with artist friend Shahz called AB87 (with an album planned for Autumn 2024), and a yet undisclosed ten track tributealbum to be released in 2025. AB87s album will also be released in 2025.

John Berge has released a string of digital singles over the years, of which three also was made as limited CD-single promos («Start To Wish», «Devil May Care» and «More or Less»). There were made around 100 copies of a «Keep Moving Forward»-CD-promo sampler, whereas the CD-single promos were made in an even more limited run. 

Fun fact: The singles in themselves among with bonus track «If You Care», actually makes together a studioalbum (ten tracks), but in fact the songs are from both albums, «Keep Moving Forwards» and «Illusions of Grandeur, Delusions of Love».
